CHIN OKEKE

Co-founder / CEO

Chinedu ‘Chin’ Okeke is an Impresario and Entertainment-Entrepreneur set on changing the conversation about Africa. A Law Graduate (LLB) from the University of Bristol, he holds a diploma in Chinese from Tsinghua University, Beijing.

His career in the entertainment industry started at an early age as he grew up playing the piano, drums, singing, and acting. In high school, he began promoting in London through to University at Bristol where he started to produce larger events; a highlight was producing the Bristol Fashion show during which he raised £200,000.

Chin founded Eclipse Group in March 2010 initially as a production company for live events, soon followed by a Brand Agency in 2011, a branding and communications company
which has developed entertainment properties for multinationals like Pepsi, RedBull Bollinger, and Nokia to name a few, as well as representing talents as brands across music, TV, and film.

In 2013, Chin launched Eclipse Live, an entertainment company focused on bringing live, affordable and accessible entertainment to the youth of Africa. At Eclipse Live, Chin developed The Gidi Culture Festival, which is the biggest music festival
in West Africa and SeatGate, a B2B white label ticketing solution for promoters and venues. The Gidi Culture Festival has been coined as defining the progression of music and urban youth culture in Africa as it’s known today.
Eclipse also operates as a promoter for emerging artists and producing events like festivals and concerts for clients

Chin is a member of the Steering Council for the ILMC Futures Forum and has been named one of the 10 most powerful people in entertainment on YNaija’s Power list. He is also a founding Trustee of the ECHO Music and Arts Foundation.
Chin has spoken at Midem, Social Media Week, and Davos.

ORITEME BANIGO

Oriteme Banigo is an advocate for development in education, entrepreneurship, Political and Social Awareness. He holds a BSC Economics from Northeastern University and an MBA from ESCP Business School. He is a Co-founder and Vice-President of Panaramic Entertainment which produces content that promotes and preserves Nigerian history and culture.  As co-founder of Eclipse Live Africa, he has been able to produce internationally recognized Festivals and concerts the flagship being Gidi Culture Festival. Oriteme is a general partner at Ventucon Partners, a boutique Venture Capitalist Fund that focuses on Technological solutions in the Education, Health, Real Estate and Corporate Sector. Oriteme acted as special Advisor to former Governor of Bayelsa State Timipre Sylva and was directly involved in political and social issues that impact his community, Brass and the Niger Delta.

Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu is a Nigerian economist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is the chairman of Heirs Holdings, the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Transcorp, and founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation.

Elumelu holds the Nigerian national honors, the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), and Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2003. He was recognized as one of "Africa's 20 Most Powerful People in 2012" by Forbes magazine.

Kemi Sulu started her career at QVC, The Home Shopping channel after graduating with BA Hons in Accounting and Finance. She then moved into the world of concert promoting with The Mean Fiddler Group before moving into recorded music. Kemi joined EMI Records working with labels such as Parlophone and EMI Chrysalis (home to the likes of Coldplay, Kylie Minogue, and Robbie Williams).

Kemi moved back into the live music sector when she joined Clear Channel, now known as Live Nation Entertainment as Head of Tour Accounts. Live Nation is the world’s leading live entertainment company. Over the 17 years with Live Nation, she has worked on a number of Festivals, Live Show, and a variety of events along with a diverse array of talents such as Madonna, Beyonce, Rihanna, Drake, Guns N Roses, Wizkid and Davido to name a few. She has also worked on globally recognized events such as Live8, Nelson Mandela’s 90th Birthday, and the concert for the late Princess Diana.

Kemi has shared her knowledge in entertainment working with promoters in Nigeria and Ghana featuring some of the World’s best acts. Her underlying passion and heart belong to Africa.
